Here’s another game demo rescued from the old site. I created this using the Phaser JavaScript game library, back in 2018, for the purposes of teaching the kids at Seattle CoderDojo how to build games in the browser.
This was extra fun because I got to design a bunch of animated 2-D graphics for the baddies.
The class materials that walk through the creation of the game are all in a free Retro Gaming Workshop for Kids repository on Github. This was weeks 3-5 (plus a follow-up since we didn’t get to destroying the bunkers during the workshop). And if you’d like to play the game, click the link below.
